The Utility Wood is one of the easiest golf clubs on the market today to hit. It is extremely forgiving and can be used from various places on the golf course. It is particularly good from the rough areas and off those tight lies where a 3 or 4 Iron are difficult to get the ball in the air quickly.
The Utility Wood started it’s life as part of the Olyo 2304 Series Iron set with two Utility clubs, the 18 & 21 degree clubs replacing the 3 & 4 Irons and large cavity back irons from 5-SW making up this big selling combination set. Olyo were one of the first manufacturers to introduce this revolutionary set. They were so popular, especially between the Ladies and Senior sections, the Utility Wood range became available as individual stock items and are now available in 16 & 24 degrees as well.
The club has a de-railed sole on it, which contributes in getting the ball airborne much faster than a difficult to use long iron allowing a further, and more controlled ball flight.
The head is mated to a UST graphite shaft or True Temper Steel shafts and Golf Pride grips and is available in Regular, Firm, Ladies & Senior flexes.
